  • Description: The existing parallelism infrastructure needs to be re-factored so that rather than a single global state, a stack of parallelism states can be constructed. To bootstrap our way into this, avoiding the problem of setting up and destroying nested communicators in a general fashion, we should be able to turn off parallelism after creating an iterator. i.e., this would enable iteration over multiple of an object in a user script, and then a return at the end to a collective operation.
