  • Description: All objects in the .yt file and all saved files should contain metadata. h5py has easy access to HDF5 attributes, and Matplotlib can do this very simply for PDF files (see http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.python.matplotlib.general/20408 ) but for PNG files it's a bit trickier.
